CLC's Internship Program was developed so that alumni could obtain “hands on” training and mentoring as they assist and enhance the ministries in which they serve. The program also aids the intern in the discovery, development, and confirmation of their personal gifts and calling. We currently have interns serving at Cottonwood Church and CLC as well as at other churches and organizations in the United States and as well as abroad.

The first intern meeting was held on 11/1/08. 14 of the current 22 interns were present to connect with each other and receive ongoing leadership training. Internship Program Director Rev. Daniel Dorthalina gave a brief message from Luke 19:1-6 to exhort the interns to continue in their heart's desire to further God's kingdom through their internships.
Internship Openings - Hot Picks of the Week:
General Administrative Positions: Did you know that many ministry opportunities start off in administrative positions? If you have a servant's heart and have good computer skills, possess a cheerful disposition, and are attentive to detail, we have many administrative positions available immediately.
Bookstore Intern: Has an interest in and/or aptitude for business administration and management, not necessarily in a retail setting. Must be detail oriented and able to follow written procedures and instructions. Also should be comfortable with computers, able to learn new computer programs, and have good communication skills.

I knew that I was supposed to stay at CLC for three years , but when I learned that school was only for two years, I was a bit disappointed. When in my 2nd year, I heard that I could become an intern after graduating, I jumped at the opportunity to continue to learn, grow, and serve in two different areas. As Student Services Coordinator, I have learned service, business, computer, and organizational skills. As Worship Team Leader's Assistant, I have learned to enter into the presence of the Holy Spirit as well as how to prepare, organize, schedule, and conduct rehearsals. I also lead some of the worship services. It has been a joy working so closely with the pastors, students, volunteers, and instructors. I know that God has great plans for me, and with CLC as the catapult, I will be launched into the very place where God has called me to be.

My desire to join the internship program started during my second year in college. Internship seemed to be a good opportunity for me to help out the school that I love and continue learning in the process. I got trained on how to do the audio-visual and other technical functions at school. I've developed new and deeper friendships with my fellow interns and volunteers. I've learned that it's ok to be a funny guy at times and ok to be serious when the need arises. Lastly, I've learned and am still learning how to do things with excellence.
